Tanasha Destiny Hope Mayers of Academy of Excellence shared with the Guyana Times, that she was both "surprised and excited" when she learnt of her outstanding performance with one hundred percent pass rate of 487.88 placing her in the number one position and earning her a spot at Queens College.  Reflecting on the exam days April 16 and 17, Tanesha said, she felt confident about her performance but never imagined she would secure the top spot in the entire country (Guyana Times, 2025).

The North Ruimveldt Youth Reflection Blog congratulates Tanasha on her remarkable achievement.  May your outstanding performance continue to inspire others to pursue their goals with the same   dedicated, disciplined and determination. You have paved a path of excellence that encourages young learners to work diligently towards their dreams.

She described her study journey as intense and sometimes exhausting but credited her success to perseverance and a strong support system. “I’m thankful and gifted,” Leah said. “I made it so far thanks to my faith, my family, and everyone who believed in me.” Leah has earned a place at Queen’s College—a proud achievement for a hardworking young scholar.   Girls in ICT Day 2025: Empowering Voices in Tech Image taken from Guyana Times 19th July 2025 In observance of International Girls in ICT Day 2025, the Cybersecurity Division of the National Data Management Authority (NDMA) hosted a vibrant programme aimed at empowering young women to pursue careers in the Information and Communication Technology sector. The event aligned with the global theme “Girls in ICT for Inclusive Digital Transformation”, and brought together students, professionals, and educators to encourage girls to envision themselves as changemakers in tech.   Cybersecurity Director Ms. Muriana McPherson opened the event by reminding attendees that technology touches nearly every part of our lives—from learning and connection to identity and purpose.
